1. Difficult start-up of the compressor motor.
When the main control switch is turned to the cooling gear, pay attention to listen whether the compressor has started and entered the operating state. If it fails to start, turn off the unit immediately. If it still cannot start after another attempt, suspend the cooling function and restart it after the voltage rebounds. Never leave the device without permission right after turning the main control switch to the cooling gear. Because if the overload protector of the compressor is allowed to connect and cut off frequently for a long time, in case its contacts get welded together, the large current passing through the compressor motor winding may burn it out.
At the moment when the air conditioner starts, due to the excessively large starting current, the pointer of the ammeter will swing to the end of the scale instantly, and then return to the normal working current value of the air conditioner (you can check the product manual for this value). For example, the normal working current of an air conditioner with a cooling capacity of 3480W (3000kcal/h) is 7.5A. If at the moment of starting, the pointer of the ammeter swings to the end of the scale, and then the pointer returns to the position of 1A, it indicates that the compressor is not working, and the current value of 1A only shows that the fan motor is working. At this time, you should use the main control switch to cut off the compressor circuit.
2. Unstable operation of the compressor. Fluctuations in grid voltage will make the compressor operate extremely abnormally, and it will stop automatically sometimes. When encountering this situation, the user should cut off the compressor circuit with the main control switch to prevent the compressor motor winding from being burned.
